About Us
Purpose
SHARE is a platform set up by distinguished individuals who have experience about the North East India (NEI) and propose to provide policy support that equips policymakers with direct insights from the NEI, touching the following:
- Identify and bridge gaps between local aspirations and policy initiatives through comprehensive primary research. Facilitate coordination among all relevant stakeholders.
- Impact analysis, offering a crucial feedback loop for policymakers.
- Develop a comprehensive research repository focused on the NEI
- Conduct various activation campaigns, develop policy options and provide decision advantage to policy makers to enhance NEI’s engagements with South and South East Asia promoting the Act East and Neighborhood First policies of India.
- Key focus areas include Trade, Connectivity, Tourism, Culture, Geopolitics, Defiance, Technology, and Environment.
- Promote the NEI domestically and internationally, particularly to South and South East Asia, as a prime destination for socio-economic collaboration.
- Work with public and private sector stakeholders to generate policy outputs focusing on enabling a better business environment and investment opportunities, in order to develop an inclusive growth trajectory.
- The initiative engages with external stakeholders to capture their aspirations concerning the NEI through Track 1.5/2 dialogues, academic partnerships, and fact- finding missions.
